Despedida de Roos y Marieke

Y, como todo, la experiencia de Roos y Marieke también ha llegado a su fin.
Esperamos de todo corazón que haya sido algo grande para ellas y que recuerden estos tres meses pasados en Mieres como un período especial de sus vidas.

As everything in life, Roos' and Marieke's experience has come to an end. From the bottom of our hearts we hope these three months in Mieres remain in their memories forever as a very special stage in their lives.

Para despedirlas con todos los honores, el jueves de la semana pasada les preparamos la siguiente fiesta sorpresa que ahora podéis ver en estas fotos y en el vídeo. La calidad del sonido no es muy buena, pero esperamos que lo disfrutéis. Gracias a todos por vuestro apoyo. 

To say goodbye in a special way, last Thursday we prepared a surprise party in their honour. You can get a picture of it by watching the following photos and video. The sound quality is not very good, but we hope you enjoy it anyway. Thanks everybody for your support.

Viaje cultural a Madrid /A cultural trip to Madrid

Parece mentira pero ya han pasado prácticamente tres meses desde que Roos y Marieke llegaron a nuestro centro. A punto de finalizar su estancia en España, hemos realizado este viaje a Madrid para que pudiesen disfrutar con sus propios ojos de la belleza de la ciudad, su espíritu cosmopolita y el sabor de algunos de sus rincones más emblemáticos.

Os ilustramos el artículo como unas cuantas fotos que nos hicimos con ocasión de esta visita.

It is almost unbelievable but the truth is that these three months have gone by really quickly.  About to put an end to their mobility in Spain, we have gone on this trip to Madrid so that they could enjoy with their own eyes the beauty of the city, its cosmopolitan spirit and the taste of some of the most emblematic sights.

discovering Asturias!

Hello everyone!

Just a short message and a lot of photos of the beautiful places I've visited so far in Asturias. I assume you all know the places and you probably have been there yourself, but I really want to show you my pictures so you can see how much I enjoy it here :)


Please don't ask me what I like the best, because i seriously can't choose. The big mountains, the beautiful beaches and the lovely cities. How can you choose from all of that? Just realise how lucky you are you live in a place that has it all. The Netherlands is completely flat, the beach is about 2 hours away (and it's not as nice as your beaches) and we have some nice cities in Holland, but still so different!

I will stop talking now, since a picture says more than a thousand words ;)

Marieke en las clases de música

Durante su estancia en nuestro instituto, Marieke ha participado en los Talleres de Música con el alumnado de 3º ESO. Estas fotos corresponden a la grabación de la canción "Sueños diabólicos" del grupo de folk celta "Mago de Oz" en la que interpretó con el piano la melodía principal. 
 

En todo momento Marieke ha demostrado una gran sensibilidad hacia la música y  siempre que ha podido ha  utilizado alguna de las guitarras del aula de música para tocar y componer  sus propias canciones.  En alguna ocasión incluso se atrevió a cantar delante de sus compañeros y compañeras a quienes dejó totalmente impresionados por su bonita voz. 

 

¡Muchas gracias a Marigén y Fidela, las profesoras de música, por toda su ayuda y entusiasmo!

During her stay at our school, Marieke has taken part in the Music Workshops with the 3º ESO students. These photos show the recording of the song "Diabolic dreams" by the Celt Folk band "Mago de Oz" whose main tune she played on the piano.

 

Marieke has shown a great musical sensitivity at all times and she has taken a guitar from the music room whenever she had some free time to play or compose her own songs. On some occasions she even dared to sing in front of her classmates who were really impressed by her sweet and beautiful voice.

Thanks so much to Marigén and Fidela, the music teachers,  for their help and enthusiasm!
